This is a Shin-nuri Ohira Natsume by Urushi Master Kawabata Kinza.
It comes in its original wooden box.
There is a needle inscription by Kinza on the underside of the Natsume.
This is an elegant and beautiful piece.

Kinza the First began his serious lacquer work during the Tenpo era.
Since then, successive generations of Kinza have carried on the tradition of lacquer art for over 200 years, spanning from the late Edo period to the present day, establishing themselves as leading figures in the lacquer art world.
They excel in Maki-e (gold lacquer) and Raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) techniques, creating many delicate and brilliant works.
Furthermore, they incorporate Rinpa-style works featuring Aogai (blue shell inlay), Raden, and lead, as well as various other techniques such as Tataki-nuri (hammered lacquer) like Urushi-e (lacquer painting) and Iji-nuri/Sabi-nuri, to produce a diverse range of lacquer art pieces.
