Fender New American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass

Fender New American Vintage 1964 Jazz Bass
Lake Placid Blue with Matching Headstock
Likely manufactured between 2013-2014.

I purchased this used about 3 years ago, but as I have another main bass, I'm selling it due to reduced playing time.

A key feature of the '64 specification is the round laminted fingerboard.

I apologize for not having a scale to provide an exact weight, but it feels lighter than my other 4.3kg bass. I estimate it to be around 4kg, but this is not an exact measurement.

Includes original accessories such as the envelope and booklet replicating the catalog, felt mute, bridge and pickup covers, and warranty card, all in the hard case.
One of the hard case latches has become loose due to age. Please be aware of this.

The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller strap locks, but all other parts are original.
The original strap pins will also be included.

There are marks where the previous owner may have attached a bridge cover, and the pickguard has been slightly modified to allow easier access to the truss rod.

There are no issues with playability.

The frets may be slightly lower, but they are still in good condition.

The neck has moved slightly with the seasons, but it has straightened itself out when left alone. I have not adjusted the truss rod since I've owned it.

The action is set at 2.6mm on the E string to 2.1mm on the G string.
I have not found any buzzing issues.

There is some tarnishing on metal parts like the tuning machines, and discoloration on the pickguard and body due to sun exposure.

As it is all lacquer, there are numerous fine weather checks all over the body.
The finish is chipped between the pickups, likely from the previous owner resting their fingers there while picking.
There are also a few other dings from impact.

These characteristics might be considered a plus for those seeking this type of instrument, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about them.

This is a rare and highly sought-after bass, made for only a few years, with all original accessories, and is said to rival Custom Shop models.

I am not in a hurry to sell, so I am not considering significant price reductions, but I plan to lower the price over time.
