David Haviland established Haviland & Co. in Limoges, France, in 1842. The mark H&Co. was prominently utilized on their early porcelain whiteware and hand-painted blanks during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This plate captures the characteristic delicate, naturalistic botanical style popularized during the Victorian era. The plate boasts a distinctive scalloped rim, a highly collectible signature detail frequently integrated into Haviland's formal dinnerware and cabinet plates.
