Aventurine Gemstone Beads Aventurine is a semi-transparent, hard stone with a shimmering iridescence and a semi-translucent appearance. A metamorphic rock, meaning it is made up of more than one mineral, green aventurine is mostly quartz with a glistening effect coming from tiny inclusions of the shiny mica minerals. The multiple quartz inclusions make this stone play the light and often seems to have sparkles. Aventurine may be found in green or shades of red and orange. Use: The barely perceptible mica inclusions in aventurine blend beautifully with either silver or gold findings. These beads make a beautiful addition to earrings, necklaces & bracelets alike. Shape: Round Color: Light to Medium Reddish-Orange Ranging from pale peach to medium red, the beads have a slight glistening effect formed from tiny mica inclusions.
