Aurigan Double Jointed Bridoon Bit
Snaffle 13.5
AURIGAN is not a brand name, but the name of a special alloy used in horse tack, particularly for bits. The Aurigan alloy is known for promoting a favorable response in horses due to its unique composition. It primarily consists of copper, zinc, and silicon, and this combination stimulates saliva production in horses, offering a more comfortable and acceptable bit.
This bit has been used for a long time and shows signs of wear.
At 13.5 cm, it is likely too large for Thoroughbreds.
Please refer to the photos to make your judgment.
New Aurigan bits typically cost around ¥25,000, so this is recommended for those who want to try one out.
