Montbell has created a Samue, a traditional Japanese garment, using their proprietary flame-retardant material, Flaretect®. It is designed to be resistant to sparks from activities like outdoor cooking or bonfires, making it less likely to develop holes. It has a natural texture similar to cotton with a moderate crispness, offering a relaxed fit that makes it suitable for loungewear or workwear. The front closure is a simple tie with strings. Pockets are located inside the overlap, preventing contents from falling out. The cuffs can be easily tightened to prevent flapping. *This does not provide complete protection from fire.
