Beethoven Complete Works Box Set by the Borodin Quartet!
The Borodin Quartet, a legendary string quartet that has walked alongside Russian history since its formation in 1945, producing numerous masterpieces, has released a complete box set of Beethoven's string quartets. These recordings were made for Chandos between 2002 and 2004, during the tenure of Valentin Berlinsky, the cellist who had been a constant presence since the ensemble's inception and who passed away at the end of last year, marking a significant turning point for the quartet. This complete Beethoven cycle, supported by the seasoned skill and spiritual strength of the late Berlinsky, is a testament to the Borodin Quartet's glorious history.
