Description
The performers and the audience are both full of immigrant power! The punk energy and sophisticated musicality intertwine with North African roots music and reggae, and the live energy... I'm impressed. (Peter Barakan)

Enthusiasm! Excitement! Cheers! A 2-disc set of Gnawa Diffusion's 10th Anniversary Concert on CD + DVD! The DVD is NTSC format, so it can be played on any player. Gnawa Diffusion, who received rave reviews for their live performance in Japan last year, is releasing their 10th anniversary live album. Recorded last November at Elysée Montmartre in Paris, this live performance is a culmination of the group's work, with an extraordinary audience response. You will be overwhelmed by Gnawa Diffusion as a live band and the charisma of leader Amazigh.

This album, on CD + DVD, captures that definitive performance. The CD includes 11 tracks, and the DVD includes 17 tracks, covering almost the entire live set. Of course, the DVD is in NTSC format (Japan release only). It can be played on any player.

Furthermore, the DVD includes bonus footage such as a film of their legendary 2000 live performance in Algeria, promotional films, and a 2005 documentary film from Algiers, further enhancing the value of this album.

Unfortunately, Gnawa Diffusion will be ceasing activities after this album. Leader Amazigh is reportedly starting a solo career. This album, which has become their final live album, is likely to be a historic release.
