Vandoren BD6 Selection ②

Selected from 5 instruments at our Kichijoji store in December 2025.
I'm selling this one because I decided to stick with my BD6.

Only tested.
There are no scratches or other issues that would affect playability.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, it seems to be slightly more open than the B40, but it has the characteristic BD series feel of air flowing smoothly.
There is no pitch instability, which can sometimes be an issue with the BD series.

Compared to the B40:
The low and mid-ranges are similar, but when trying to play the low notes forcefully, it lacks that gabble sound that can occur.
The high range also allows air to pass through well, eliminating that feeling of being choked.

I have been a long-time B40 user, but due to repeated minor changes, it has become difficult to find a usable B40 among recent models.
I tried BD4 and BD5 as alternatives, but they didn't quite feel right.

If you are looking for a B40 alternative, want to overcome the quirks of the B40 mentioned above, or have had a similar experience to mine, please give this a try! ( ˊᗜˋ)(ˊᗜˋ)(ˊᗜˋ )

I recommend V12 or Blue Box #3 reeds!
Comes without the original case. m(_ _)m

Thank you!
