Purchased in Kyoto by my grandmother over 10 years ago.
Likely unused and stored in beautiful condition.

Suzuki Ryukodo is one of the long-established shops in Kyoto that manufactures and sells traditional cosmetics and crafts. Their lipstick, known as Kyo-Beni, is particularly famous and is known for being used by Maiko (apprentice geisha) and Geiko (geisha).
Kyo-Beni is made by applying rouge to the inside of a clam shell. When using it, you take the rouge with the included brush or your finger and apply it to your lips. After use, it can also be used as a small accessory case or decorative item, showcasing its aspect as a beautiful craft.
