Men's Silver tone metal Swords and Shield cuff links!

I got a bunch of cuff links from an estate and I thought these were the coolest! The face of the cuff links are about 17x21mm in diameter. They are silver toned metal with a black lacquer background. I'm not sure if these are a family crest per say, or medieval style cuff links. Please inspect and enlarge the pictures to assess the condition of the item for yourself.
