④ Men's Kimono Ensemble - Oshima Tsumugi? With basting stitches, unused but...
Price Reduction 4/19
Aunt's estate sale.
Likely an item from the Showa or early Heisei era.
It was stored in a tatōgami (paper wrapper) with a lot of camphor, but the smell has dissipated after several days of sun-drying.
The owner appears to have been a doctor who wore kimonos.
I imagine this is unusual nowadays, so I hope it can be used for kimono remakes or as fabric for handmade items.
Please consider this if you can make good use of it.
It feels smooth, could it be Oshima Tsumugi? I'm not sure of the details.
There are stains on the lining of the haori (outer jacket), and some areas where the pattern has transferred from folding. These are not visible when worn.
