These are two brass memo clips.
They have a substantial weight when held, and the fact that magnets don't stick to them suggests they are made of brass.

[Condition and Impressions]
The patina of aged brass gives it character, so I have dry-polished them. The deep golden hue that has developed over the years is very cool.

The springs are strong and can firmly hold thick cards or memos (photos 11 and 12). I tried clipping a postcard to the wall (postcard not included).

They have considerable weight, so they would also work well as paperweights to prevent them from blowing away in the wind.

I would be happy to pass these on to someone who can appreciate the small scratches and brass-specific tarnish that come with age as character, and to those who are working hard while finding solace in Hawaii during their demanding jobs.
