Yucca Gloriosa Kimigayo Ran ⑨
Yucca Gloriosa (Spanish Dagger)
Please refer to the photos for size.
Native to southwestern Mexico's Pacific coast.
Will be shipped with the pot wrapped in plastic wrap, not in a cardboard box.
[Features]
Spanish Dagger is highly resistant to cold and heat,
making it suitable for dry gardens and similar landscaping.
It can be propagated by cuttings or air layering,
with the best time being from May to August.
[Characteristics]
Extremely hardy.
Grows well even along coastlines or in polluted urban areas,
and is not particular about soil type.
Some people insist on plants with established roots,
but these plants will even sprout roots if left after being cut.
[Cultivation]
To encourage rooting, use a rooting hormone.
Rooting typically occurs within 2-3 months.
Important: Manage rooting in bright shade.
[Watering]
Prefers a dry environment, so keep the soil on the dry side throughout the year.
Especially in winter, reducing watering will increase cold tolerance.
Said to withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F).
[Fertilizing]
It's fine to fertilize, but
the best approach is to fertilize once in spring and once in autumn during the warmer months.
