This is a new tea made from Makomo leaves harvested in 2026.

We use Makomo leaves grown using natural farming methods in Taguchi, Ryukyu Town, surrounded by mountains, sea, and rivers on Amami Oshima. The leaves are grown using only the power of nature, without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or compost.

We carefully select only the vibrant young leaves grown in fields with a constant flow of mineral-rich groundwater, and meticulously craft them into tea by hand, from cutting and roasting to packaging.

The taste is a natural sweetness and roasted aroma similar to corn tea. It has a rich flavor and a mellow mouthfeel.
It is caffeine-free, so it can be safely enjoyed before bedtime, by children, and by pregnant women. It can be enjoyed hot or iced.

One bag can brew approximately 50 liters of Makomo tea. This is the perfect size for your daily health tea.

[How to Brew]
Add 1 tablespoon of tea leaves and 1 liter of water to a kettle and bring to a boil over high heat. After boiling, simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
If brewing in a teapot, pour hot water and let it steep for about 10 minutes before drinking. *Brewing enhances flavor and efficacy.

Store cooled tea in a pot or refrigerator. Storage recommendation: Same day for room temperature, next day for refrigeration.

Brewed tea can also be used in cooking such as soups and ochazuke, as well as for baths, foot baths, and face washing.
