The box is partially damaged. (See photo 8)
Although the item is new and unused, there are rust-like marks near the base of the blade and on part of the shinogi. (See photos 5 & 6)
The marks on the shinogi will disappear when sharpened, and the marks at the base of the blade can be easily removed by polishing with a nylon scrubber or similar. However, I understand some may be concerned, so I have adjusted the price accordingly.
