Description
Deba knife, blade length 13.6cm, 157g. The spine is approximately 7.0mm thick near the heel. It is inscribed with Sanjo, but it appears to be an older brand. It is rarely seen on the used market. I believe it is a brand from Sanjo City, Niigata. This is an authentic Kasumi style, made by laminating soft iron and steel. Rust marks have been mostly removed, but upon close inspection, faint traces may remain, so please examine the photos carefully. There are no hammer marks on the spine, and I believe it has been finished in generally good condition. The handle has been replaced with a new one, and it should be usable for a considerable time. It has been thoroughly sharpened, honed, and polished.
