Two-Book Set: The Wandering Heart's Journey and Grasping the Rainbow by Toshiyuki Kajiyama

The Wandering Heart's Journey
When a large foreign woman openly invites you with Come on, baby, most Japanese men are said to be taken aback and intimidated. So, what do you do then? Let me teach you just a little about how to overcome inferiority complexes with foreign women. Even if you try to act cool by saying that a good affair leads to domestic happiness, coming up with excuses for affairs or reasons for coming home in the morning is a difficult task for men. A chilling, hair-raising war always awaits you against your enemy. This is an experiential, direct-instruction book for becoming a seasoned veteran of that path, a uniquely hilarious and side-splittingly funny read.

Grasping the Rainbow
For Anjinn Kesshi, who turned 19, the post-war era of food shortages was a time of hardship and endurance. He vaguely believed a relative's recommendation that he could alleviate his hunger and decided to become an amateur farmer. However, he was completely deceived by a glib-tongued land broker and ended up buying a poor plot of land mixed with gravel. Damn it! What the hell! he tells himself as he wields his hoe, but with sweet potato porridge as his staple for breakfast and lunch, he feels dizzy. Then, a 43-year-old widowed neighbor, seeing his plight, becomes unusually kind to him. She treats him to barley rice for lunch and invites him to the parlor, saying, You use your hips when you hoe... The agile half-life of Anjinn Kesshi, a novice farmer who is popular and attractive to women. The definitive edition of a thrilling full-length novel!
