Epiphone CASINO 1988 Terada Made in Japan
Made in Japan Epiphone CASINO. Serial number indicates it was made in 1988, and it's from the early period when production switched from Matsumoku to Terada. It retains a 3-piece maple neck from the Matsumoku era.
Orange label period, 5-digit serial number starting with 8, 85xxx, indicating it was made in 1988.
The neck is very sturdy, thin and slim, but it is not warped and is in good condition. I am the second owner, and the first owner barely played it, so the neck condition is exceptionally good.
There are two extra holes on the body top from when a Bigsby was installed for aesthetic purposes.
There are string groove dents on the low frets, but I believe it does not impede playing in its current condition. I have set the string height very low to my preference, but the buyer is free to adjust the string height as they wish.
This particular instrument has a very nice finish. Unlike the common sunburst where the edges are black, the edges here are brown, giving it a look similar to genuine 1966 models.
The CASINO has a full hollow body construction with no center block, and its large internal cavity makes it very light.
It features a thin yet strong 3-piece maple neck, a maple body, and produces a bright, dry sound.
Comes with the original hard case shown in the photos. The hard case will be wrapped in bubble wrap for shipping.
