Bloomingdale's Blue White Cloth Dinner Napkins Set of 4 Chinoiserie Jacquard 19"

A set of four Bloomingdale's At Home cotton dinner napkins in cornflower blue and ivory, woven in Portugal. The pattern is a jacquard weave rather than a print — a large chinoiserie medallion of scrolling lotus and peony vines at center, set inside a horizontally striped field, framed by a wide scrolling floral border and a solid blue outer band. Because the design is woven in, it reverses cleanly: the front reads blue-on-ivory and the back reverses to ivory-on-blue, so both sides are usable.  Each napkin measures 19 1/2 inches square. The fabric is 100% cotton.The original Bloomingdale's At Home label is still attached.  The blue-and-white palette works with transferware, Canton and Blue Willow china, delft, and Spode, and suits both a formal table and everyday use.
