Limoges porcelain bowls, made and decorated in Limoges, France.  Each square-lobed bowl features a flowing scalloped rim, molded feather or fish-scale relief around the exterior, naturalistic multicolor butterfly transfer decoration, and a fine gold-gilt border. The individual butterfly motifs appear in soft yellow, orange, green, blue, red, and black against fine white hard-paste porcelain.  Each bowl measures approximately 7.57.75 across the widest points.  Both pieces bear two period marks: the green underglaze B & Cº LIMOGES FRANCE factory mark and the red L.
