Tin Litho Mechanical Dime Register Coin Bank Made in USA  - Size: 2 in (H) x 2.5 in (W) - Color: Tan/Cream, Blue, and Red - Type: Dime Register Bank / Mechanical Coin Bank - Vintage tin lithograph dime register savings bank - Designed to accept dimes and keep a running total using the numbered register - Front reads “Dime Register Bank” and “Registers Ten Dollars” - Back reads “First Dime Locks / Last Dime Unlocks / At Ten Dollars / Patents Pending” - Classic cash-register-inspired shape - Patriotic red, white/cream and blue graphics with starburst designs on sides - Original J. Chein & Co. “Made in U.S.A.” shield mark on bottom - Bottom has handwritten name “Carol Lee” and date “Aug 23, 1940,” giving the piece some really charming provenance - Great piece of early American tin toy / coin bank history! - Made in the USA - Material: Lithographed tin/metal - Condition: Vintage/antique pre-owned condition with substantial age-related wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, small dents/bends and other surface wear. There is adhesive/residue and carved writing on the bottom. Mechanical function has not been tested, so it is being sold as-is for collectible/display purposes.
