Description
This exquisite vintage decorative tile, crafted by B. Delft in Holland, features a beautiful rendition of Frans Hals' famous painting 'Singing Lads' (Zingende Knapen). The artwork depicts two young men, one engrossed in playing a lute while the other observes, with an open book suggesting a musical or scholarly pursuit. Rendered in classic blue and white Delftware style, this ceramic tile captures the charm and detail of the original Dutch Master's work. It measures approximately 6 inches square and is marked on the back with 'B. Delft Handmade Holland,' 'FRANS HALS 1580-1660,' and 'Singing Lads.' The reverse also notes the original artwork's museum location: 'Städtliche Kunstsammlungen Kassel.' This piece is perfect for collectors of Delftware, art tiles, or anyone appreciating classical art and Dutch heritage. It can be displayed as a standalone decorative item or integrated into a larger collection. Please note the slight adhesive residue on the back, consistent with its age and previous display.
