Offered here is an authentic vintage Elgin Shockmaster self-winding wristwatch, powered by the clearly marked Swiss Elgin caliber 643 automatic movement with 17 jewels. The watch has a particularly handsome black dial with applied silver-tone hour markers, matching hands and understated mid-century styling. At approximately 30mm across, it has the compact proportions expected of a period men's watch and also works extremely well today as a smaller unisex vintage piece. Open-case photographs are included so the next owner can see exactly what is inside—not simply take the seller's word for it.
