Irotomesode is a type of kimono that is plain on the upper body and features an ebamoyō (a pattern that flows across the seams) on the lower half, with a color other than black.
It is considered formal or semi-formal wear for formal occasions.
It can be worn at weddings for relatives and family, as well as for events like a child's shrine visit (Omiyamairi), Shichi-Go-San, entrance ceremonies, and graduation ceremonies.
The formality of an Irotomesode is determined by the number of crests (mon).
With five crests, it is considered the highest level of formal wear (Daiichi Reisō). With three or one crest, it is considered semi-formal (Jun Reisō).

[Condition]

While this is an Irotomesode, it does not have a family crest (kamon), so it can also be worn casually as a Hōmongi (visiting kimono).
