【Vintage Not For Sale】Wooden Sword, Early Showa Period, Engraved with Toyo Denki "Seinen Gakko" (Youth School)

Thank you for viewing.

This is a wooden sword (engraved, not for sale) used for training during the early Showa period under the wartime system.

Overview of Toyo Denki (now Toyo Denki Seizo) Seinen Gakko (Youth School):
- April 1935: Seinen Gakko Rei (Youth School Ordinance) promulgated
- April 1937: Toyo Denki Seinen Gakko founded
- April 1939: Toyo Denki Totsuka Seinen Gakko established due to relocation
- April 1947: Seinen Gakko Rei abolished
- Continued until April 1948, when it was renamed Shiritsu Toyo Denki Totsuka Kogyo Gakko (Private Toyo Denki Totsuka Technical School).

The wooden sword being offered was custom-made and used as official training equipment for military training (Jukenjutsu/Bayonet Fencing and Kendo) conducted as part of the education at Toyo Denki's Seinen Gakko at the time, and it is engraved.

Length: Approximately 87cm Weight: Approximately 369g

The material is unknown. The color is a dark brown with some black mixed in. This may be related to the passage of time over three-quarters of a century, but personally, I find it to have a venerable, antique appearance.

There are also minor scratches and impact marks, which are traces of history, indicating that it was actually used in training.

This is an authentic wooden sword from the Showa wartime era, used for military training of children who would be equivalent to today's junior high and high school students. If you are interested, please check the images and consider it.

Please understand that it will be shipped wrapped in bubble wrap with the shipping label affixed over it.
