Beautiful set of six vintage handmade cutwork placemats acquired from the Dutch side of St. Maarten in the 1970s. Each placemat features an intricate hand-cut and appliquéd floral vine design in vibrant tropical colors. The detailed craftsmanship and openwork construction create a stunning presentation for table settings while also making these gorgeous decorative textiles for display. This piece is in beautiful vintage condition, well-preserved and vibrant. A couple of placemats have some minor discoloration/spotting in areas, as seen in photographs.
